It all started with a loaf of Gardenia Toastem’ bread. Gordon loves it and we’ve run out of it. After tea, hubby drove to 7-11 to pick it up. I was saying it tastes much better toasted as the name suggests. That led us all the way to Parkson and i ended up with the Philips Toaster Oven HD4495.
It’s not a big toaster oven. Only 9L and toasts 4 pieces of bread at a go. It’s a multi-purpose toaster oven that does more than toast bread. I can bake, broil and keep food warm too. It’s easy-cook features promises delicious results every time. This small little wonder comes with an adjustable thermostat, 45-minute timer, baking tray and crumb tray.
This will suffice until i learn all the basics required to cook a decent meal. Then, it’s time to upgrade to something more adventurous like a convection oven. I’ve placed this on top of my old microwave oven, which i still havent discarded, lol. I chose this simply for it’s retro design and deep finish. I shall refrain from buying appliances in white finish as it gets dirty in our kitchen easily. As both the timer and thermostat is located at the bottom, it’s space saving too. Not bad for Rm169, huh.
And this is how its interior looks like. With just enough space for 1n 8″ x 8″ baking dish. Talking about baking dishes, it’s time i get all my Pyrex back from my sis’. I bought them when the urge bake struck when i was pregnant with Gordon. And that’s more than 4 years ago. So, now you know how long it was since i last baked, right. More later on. Thanks for dropping by…..
