It’s a rainy Sunday and Papa’s not around to take us out. The Muffin Pre-mixes i bought from Wah Seng (Ipoh) on Friday were still lying on the kitchen table. The kids are hungry and i had to come up with something to keep them happy till dinner. And so……
I baked them 16 Blueberry muffins using half a packet of the pre-mix.
Rising nicely in the mini muffin cups without touching the top of the toaster oven.
In 15 minutes, my Blueberry muffins are ready to be eaten.
I brought two into the room for Gordon and Malcolm.
Here’s Malcolm enjoying the Blueberry muffin. Gordon ran away as soon as he got his.
And here’s how the Blueberry Muffins from Wah Seng are like on the inside. Just the right texture. I love baking for kids. PASS.

Hello! I am a Singaporean currently living in Beijing. Today,I tried baking choc muffins with a toaster oven but it didn’t work very well.Came online to see if there’re any like-minded people out there and stumbled upon your site! But you used premix?Ur muffins came out solid?Mine was a lil soggy inside and I wonder what went wrong.Does self-raising flour make a better choice?Haha…Super noob.Hope to hear from U!Where’re U from by the way?
Hi, thanks for dropping by my blog. I’m Malaysian. As for my muffins, they did turn out fine except for the slightly burnt tops as they were quite near the heater. Each toaster oven has different temp settings. The only thing i can say is to experiment with the temperature until you get it right in smaller batches….
