Not A Time To Forgive And Forget – Malaysiakini

I live in a house where i get a hefty dose of political talks almost everyday. In fact, since the last General Election in March 2008. Hubby was away on the day when news of Jelapang assemblyman Hee Yit Foong betrayed the people who voted her broke out. So, when FIL threw me a question regarding the matter, i was like, Huh????

Coming from him, he expects a quick response as he’s so used to getting the latest news from hubby, who reads RPK, Malaysiakini, etc. for political updates. FIL only depends on the mainstream media for news. Well, biased, twisted and diluted news, as far as i’m concerned. Everyone knows this, right.

It’s also very generous of Malaysiakini to provide us with free updates over this issue for the past two days or so. As for my opinion on this issue, i know for one, politics only favors the one with the most money. Yes, it’s a sad fact and one that’s so apparent in this particular defection. As in this case, where victory (for how long?) can be bought for Rm50mil as reported in the Malaysian blogosphere.

I just read on Malaysiakini that Perak’s ex-MB, Mohd Nizar, was booted out of his office. Not only that, all his files have also been removed from his office and his press conference was rudely interrupted twice by the state secretary and the police chief.

This was the short conversation i had with hubby over lunch of nasi lemak and tong-sui:

Me: PKR kaput liao, BN in power now. After lunch, swearing in at 3.30pm lorr.

Hubby: See the sky now, pouring like shit, maybe feeling sorry for PKR’s loss.

Me: What to do, money rules. And because of it, people can and will betray the trust placed upon them by voters in the last General Election.

Nasi lemak

Hubby: That Najib says no money involved worr.

Me: You believe ah, lol. He also said that Altantuya case he not involved, ptuiii.

Hubby: Did you receive the SMS that Hee’s house kena sabo by the Jelapang residents? All in Chinese, damn long, cant read.

Pumpkin and Millet tong sui

Me: No wor. I only read from The Star that many PKR supporters protested at her center and placed a banner up there that reads, “Betrayer of Jelapang voters, Betrayer of Perak people” in several languages. House alright, car also still locked inside the compound worr.

Hubby: Must have gone into hiding lah. She’d better be prepared for all the repercussions ahead. Dunno her family how leh.

Me: Dunno. But i bet, if people were to see her children, they only have one word for them now. DNMCH.

LUNCH IS OVER……. and yes, it’s still pouring.
