BN/PKR Tussle For Power In Perak – Malaysiakini

It was a lovely Saturday afternoon yesterday and hubby wanted to take the kids for hi-tea at Casuarina Hotel. But as soon as we turned out from Chateau Garden, we saw lots of Red FRU vehicles lined up along Gopeng Road or Jalan Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah, where Casuarina Hotel is.

The blogger in me fast fast dug out my super dependable Nokia N82 and started clicking away. If not for the jam, i wont be able to get this pic. You can still see the Red FRU vehicles lined up along the road behind the bushes. BN must be having some kinda event at the UMNO building, which is just right before Casuarina Hotel.

As we neared the roundabout where we are supposed to turn into to reach Casuarina Hotel, we found that it’s been blocked by Police cars, knn. So, how ah. Those who stay at Casuarina Hotel how to go back?

There was a slight jam and it took longer than usual for us to even reach the roundabout. I told hubby we can forget having hi-tea at Casuarina. We’ll just go to Parkson and eat at Kopitiam Junction instead. See, mahfan or not. But saved us lot of money also lah, lol.

As we turn into Tambun Road ( Jalan Raja Di-Hilir), the Menteri Besar’s house was rather quiet. We thought there’ll be lots of cars lined up along the road too, but no worrrr. We only saw this man loitering outside the main gates. Pic blurred cos we were moving quite fast.

I took this pic after we parked our car at the 4th floor parking at Parkson. The white building right in the middle of the pic is Casuarina Hotel, and the one in beige on its right is the UMNO building. My N82 geng chau, hoh. No, let’s just say the moblogger even more geng lah, k.

On the way home a couple of hours later, we saw lots of Traffic Policemen, all parked under the pedestrian bridge  in front of Yuk Choy Primary School, Ipoh. And on our left, plenty of Reporters with their superdy duper DSLRs. No, you cant see them in this pic cos my focus was on the Traffic Policemen, lol.

I cant do much with a nursing toddler on my lap, k. Well, at least i managed to provide you with this many pics of what the recent political change of power in Perak. Yesterday, the newly sworn-in Menteri Besar makes his first public appearance at a Chinese New Year event while our ousted Menteri Besar, Mohd Nizar chairs a “special exco” meeting.

So, who’s the Menteri Besar of Perak now? Datuk Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir or Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin? According to an article on Malaysiakini, Ku Li (Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah) did say that Mohd Nizar Jamaluddin is still menteri besar until he resigns of his own accord, or is removed by a vote of no-confidence in a formal sitting of the assembly.

So, now how? I guess the questions on everyone’s mind now are, “Will the Perak Sultan be sued?”, “Will there be more defectors?”, “Will there be more non-Malay representatives in the new Perak state executive council?”, “How long can BN remain in power in Perak?”, blah, blah, blah…… Do you have an answer to these questions?
