Samm’s On Diet

I’m so so so so glad that Chinese New Year is over and done with. Yesterday was Chap Goh Mei, 15th day of CNY, also known as Chinese Valentine’s Day. Any single ladies here went to throw mandarin oranges into the sea? Well, that brings an end to all the long boring holidays and such.

I cant stand seeing all those CNY cookies and arteries clogging food anymore. Though i dont pig out a lot on those, a little bit of this and that adds a lot to my weight, you know. No matter how skinny i am, i did put on some weight on all the wrong places, damnit. No, dont ask me to proof it. You really wont want to see my fat ass.

What you see here are two simple vegetable dishes. The one on the left is stir-fried baby bok choi with lots of garlic. On the right, it’s kam heong pumpkin. Basically, pumpkin with lots of shallots, garlic, har mai (dried prawns) and curry leaves. I’m so not packing in the rice. These will do. Nice, eh. So, you going on a diet yet?
