Sugar Icing Biscuits

I lived across the street from a sundry shop when i was a kid. The shop has many biscuit tins lined up outside the shopfront. Of all the biscuits there, these Sugar Icing Biscuits are the most interesting ones. I will bug my mom to buy me these colorful sweet biscuits every once in a while. We do get quite a lot for 10cents back then, you know.

Hubby bought these for Malcolm when he took him to the foodcourt the other night. Actually, my kid doesnt really like these, not even the sweet Sugar Icing on top of it. He will lick it a bit, and stuff it into the nearest person’s mouth, lol. But not to worry, Gordon will eat everything up. I still have some left inside the larder. Better let Gordon whack them all before they turn soft.

Aww they look fab. They sell these in the UK in like potato chips bags. They’re called Iced Gems. Here is a link to a pic of the commercial sold ones here: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/55/159858515_511ddff4c6.jpg?v=0

Are you going to attempt to make these? If so, please post about it including a recipe. I’d love the challenge of making them also.

    Thanks,
    Lisa
