Winter Melon Tale

Winter Melon Tales

The Tong Sui shop i frequent during lunch hours has a new offering today. The Sitaupor recommended i give their Winter melon Tong Sui a try and i obliged. It’s kinda weird. She explained that it’s made of grated winter melon and boiled with foo-chuk. There’s also barley and some colorful bits of chewy jelly in it.It’s only my first time trying this. It’s definitely not love at first sight. I may or may not try it again. See how.

My mother-in-law also loves to make soup with winter melon. It’s very cooling and makes a great pot of clear soup. She normally adds pork ribs, red dates and sometimes, dried scallops to it. If you prefer a different taste, you may also substitute the dried scallops with dried oysters, and use chicken instead.

Starting this week, we get to watch Winter Melon Tale online, a new Drama Series. If you like winter melon dessert and winter melon soups, i hope you also like to watch Winter Melon Tale too. Check back often for Winter Melon Tale online streaming links. Enjoy the new 20 episodes drama series.
