Chor 8 is the most important day of Chinese New Year for Hokkiens. It’s a lavish do. I’m not Hokkien, but was invited to a friend’s for the event. She’s prepared a lot of food as offerings to the Gods, complete with a big roasted pig. She gave me a few large pieces to take home. It’s going to last my family for at least a week, lol.
