Peppermint Tea

My cough is not showing any sign of going away. Day, i cough. Night, i cough more. You say sienz or not. Yesterday, we took the kids out for tea at Parkson. On the way up the escalator, they requested for greentea ice-cream from the Tea Gallery. Ok, it’s greentea ice-cream for them.

I asked the girl at the Tea Gallery what tea is good for relieving cough and she recommended i give their new mint leaves a try. It’ll soothe my throat. I bought a packet from her and told her to make some for me at the shop. So, as the kids were having their greentea ice-cream, i sipped on my Peppermint Tea. And yes, it did soothe my throat a bit.

So, if you are also suffering form a persistent cough, you may want to give Peppermint Tea a try. Check these out:

Koi Fish Nin Kou

I bought a few of these Nin Kou, shaped in Koi Fishes, for friends and family members as part of my Chinese New Year gifts. Nice, horr. And so meaningful too. Fish is a symbol of prosperity. It also signifies riches and abundance. I hope everyone reading this post will have abundance of everything you all are wishing for this year.

Well, here at my blog, food pics are not the only thing in abundance. I know all my drama addicts are also wishing for the same thing. Lots of HK drama series, haimai. No worries, plenty here each night. Do follow me on Twitter for the latest updates and also request for access. In fact, there’s a new drama series starting tonight. Do watch My Better Half online with me, ya. Enjoy, and Happy New Year!!!!

Lo Sang On Chor 3

Today is the only day i felt well enough to have a decent meal. I’ve been sick since last Saturday, Chinese New Year’s Eve. Hubby got home really late on CNY eve as there was a long jam all the way back from KL. But as long as he’s safely home, so what if he’s home late, right.

By Sunday, Chor 1, i was already down and out. Hubby drove me down town to look for a clinic. Unfortunately, none’s open and we ended up at GH. Good also since i only have to pay Rm1 for consultation and medication. If not, i may have to fork out around Rm40-50 elsewhere.

Yesterday, Chor 2, we went back to my Mom’s. Next, we headed over to my Grandma’s. She’s aged so much this year. Gotta visit her more often. Last stop was my uncle’s place. That’s it. The weather was too hot for us to continue on.

Today, we took the kids out to Tesco. Bought Malcolm a poolside ball. He’s been asking for one for weeks! Gordon got a pair of arm floats. Will take them swimming this Sunday if the weather permits.

My buddies called up this noon inviting me out for dinner with them. Knowing i’m still not well, they came over to the foodcourt near my place for dinner. How nice of them, ya. The picture above is the Lo Sang we had just now. Have you had yours this Chinese New Year?

Happy Chinese New Year & Valentine’s Day 2010

Today is a very special day as it’s Chor 1 (1st day of CNY) and also Valentine’s Day at the same time. It’s such an auspicious day that even my frying pan greets me with a heart today.

CNY Reunion Dinner 2010

This year’s Reunion Dinner is just about the same as the previous year’s. Both MIL and i were down with a bad cold-cough-sore throat-headache and to be honest, who’s it the mood to cook la. Moreover, i even discovered i had an eye infection in the midst of dinner. Interesting eh. As i still had to mind the kids, MIL cooked a few simple dishes. We had fish, wrapped oysters, stir-fried cauliflowers (mixed veg) with prawns, braised mushrooms with oysters, fatt choy and pork, and lotus root soup. Not bad la, horr.
