One of my favorite hangouts is Chatter Corner. There are two outlets that i often go to. One is at Greentown Business Center, the other is at Yik Foong Complex. Hubby had this Szechuan Fried Rice the other day when he was waiting for me at Yik Foong. Went to the yarn store there to get some knitting items.
My kids love this Szechuan Fried Rice too, especially my elder boy. He loves anything with egg on it. The minced chicken complements the fried rice well. If you ever go to Yik Foong, be sure to drop by Chatter Corner at the ground floor and try their Szechuan Fried Rice. It’s yummy.
Meanwhile, enjoy this new drama series, Fly With Me. It’s quite hilarious, lol. I’m rather busy of late with school and work. Dont have time to blog much. Those new to the site, be sure to follow me on Twitter for the daily episode updates. Get the access there.

These are the Sau Tao noodles i cook for my kids. They like it very much. I even bought a different variety this time. It has a slight shrimp flavor to it. My sis told me there’s another abalone flavored one. Well, i didnt see it that day. Hopefully on my next trip to Tesco.

It’s my first time eating Har Meen at Jen Jen Coffeeshop. A few friends tried it and told me it’s a must-have if i ever eat there. Well, i only have Kai Si Hor Fun each time i go there. Today, i entered the coffeeshop from the side where the Har Meen stall is. That’s why i ordered a bowl. And YES! It’s good. I even asked for extra "kangkung". If you were to ask me to rate it, i’ll give it a 7.5 out of 10.
My favorite is still the stall at Wah Nam Coffeeshop down town. Cant even remember if i’ve blogged about it before or not. I’ll go eat there one of these days and post a pic for you folks, ya.

I bought a packet of Sau Tao Whole Egg Noodles from Tesco last Saturday. It’s kinda like dried Wantan Meen. My kids prefers noodles to rice anytime. So, gotta stock up on lots of dried noodles. I’ve eaten Sau Tao Whole Egg Noodles many times before, but i dont think my kids have. There’s one made with shrimps too. Will buy that when i’m done with this packet.
This is what i made for Gordon today. I flavored the noodles with Tamarind Sauce. Topped it with fried pork chops. The oil and marinade from the fried pork chops made the noodles yummier. Last, i placed half a hard-boiled egg in it. Gordon loves it but couldnt finish it during recess. He ate the remainder in the car on the way home at 6.30pm, lol! Just now, i asked him if he wanted the same for breakfast tomorrow, and he replied yes with a big grin on his face. A happy kid = happy mom

It was hubby who ordered this when he joined me at the tong sui stalls one evening. The curry is thick and laden with coconut milk, not the kind that we like. Moreover, it’s not that healthy too as having too much coconut milk in your diet can contribute to a lot of health problems in the long run. But looking at this in the dead of the night is sheer torture. I’m so hungry now that i’ll wallop everything clean, minus the curry soup of cos. Looks like i gotta go make me a bowl of quaker oats to satisfy my hunger now…. *sulk*
