I will have to go visit a friend at the hospital soon. She’s just given birth to her second baby. Well, i can do that right after my kid’s recess. The hospital is just roughly 5 minutes away from the school. Talking of babies, my second kid will turn 4 years old tomorrow. Time flies, especially when one has kids to care for. He was also born at the same hospital. Oh, it was just like yesterday that i brought my little bundle of joy back home from the hospital. Malcolm was delivered via C-sect, same as Gordon, my first boy. I can still remember my Obstetrician, Anesthetist and nurses in Lab Coats and Medical Nursing Scrubs all around me for a good hour when i was in the operating room. I am thankful that i did not encounter any complications at all from pregnancy till childbirth.
My hospital-stay was brief. I only stayed for two nights for both occasions. Errrr…. maybe it’s due to my not liking hospital food to begin with. The pic above says it all, lol. I always get hubby to bring something for me a few times each during mealtimes. Moreover, the food served during my childbirth doesnt taste anything like the chinese confinement foods my MIL cooks. I’m lucky to have a MIL who does all the confinement cooking for me after i’m home from the hospital. Well, i had to take care of the baby myself as hubby had to leave back to the city. I’m now planning on what to cook for my kid’s birthday party tomorrow. Any recommendations? (MIL just popped into my room and told me she’ll be buying KFC for him. And my boy, he wants a cherry cake…..)
