Leggo’s Alfredo Pasta Sauce with Organic Kamut Pasta

It’s Sunday, and my kids are still in bed though it’s already noon. Gordon was playing with his new Wii games and went to bed late. Malcolm was not feeling too well, and after i breastfed him, he went to sleep on his own at the foot of the bed I dare not move him lest he wakes up and decides to tag onto my breast the whole night long.

Leggo's Alfredo Pasta Sauce with Kamut Pasta

I’m sure you all remembered the bottle of Leggo’s Alfredo Pasta Sauce i bought sometime back, right. There’s still some organic Kamut Pasta remaining inside the fridge. These two items will make a quick brunch for all. I dont think i need to explain how to cook the organic Kamut Pasta, right. I like it cos it has this buttery nutty taste that none other kinds of pasta has.

Bowl of kamut Pasta with Leggo's Alfredo Sauce

The Leggo’s Alfredo Pasta Sauce has a slight sourish taste and it’s quite creamy. Therefore, go easy with the olive oil when you prepare your organic Kamut Pasta, if that’s what you’re using. I dont have anymore cheese. I dont think you need any since it’s so rich, but i guess a little will enhance the overall taste of the organic Kamut Pasta with this Leggo’s Alfredo Pasta Sauce. My kids love it too. PASS :)

Greenmax Yam Multi Grains Cereal

Malcolm loves this cereal. You know, this lil fler. He doesnt really like to eat much. He’s already two years old, and still prefers to tag onto my breast, sigh. This is why i buy him this Greenmax Yam Multi Grains Cereal each time i go to the organic shop. He wont eat this each day. Sometimes, he can finish the whole bowl of cereal. If not, Gordon will eat everything for him.

Greenmax Yam Multi Grains Cereal

I love this Greenmax Yam Multi Grains Cereal too as it contains a lot of vegetables. It’s a complete meal all on its own. Sometimes, i will add some organic sesame oil to it. Once in a while, i will add a little Marmite to it for added flavor. Eaither way, both my kids likes to eat this Greenmax Yam Multi Grains Cereal very much.

This is how the packet of Greenmax Yam Multi Grains Cereal looks like. Do give it a try. It’s a great and convenient snack. Better than eating instant noodles when hungry, eh. A packet of 16 sachets only costs Rm16 or so. Nutritious and delicious.

Bitter Gourd with Spare Ribs and Dates Soup Recipe

This Bitter Gourd with Spare Ribs and Dates Soup is a hot favorite with my family. Bitter gourd has many health benefits. It contains a mixture of flavonoids and alkaloids which stimulates the pancreas to produce insulin that controls the blood sugar levels in diabetics. If you are a diabetic, then bitter gourd soup is good for you.

Bitter Gourd and Dates Soup

You will need one bitter gourd, 5 large red dates, 5 large dried oysters and spare ribs. You can use chicken if you want to. It’s easy to prepare. Rub spareribs with some salt and set aside. Cut the bitter gourd into half, and scoop the spongy insides out with a spoon. Wash it and cut into bite size pieces. Cut the dates and remove the stones. Wash the salt from the spare ribs and blanch with hot water. I do this to remove the “porky” taste from it. Final step, put everything into the crockpot and put on high for a few hours.

And this is how the Bitter Gourd with Spare Ribs and Dates Soup looks like when served. The soups is clear, not cloudy. The bitter gourd is soft and not bitter at all. The dates and dried oysters add sweetness to the soup. Smells heavenly too. Go on. Make this for dinner tomorrow, ya. Hope you like my Bitter Gourd with Spare Ribs and Dates Soup recipe.

Stewed Pork Spareribs With Radish And Beancurd

I dont have much time to cook today. My mother-in-law told me she bought some pork spareribs (the soft bones type) this morning. About 600gm or so. I also found a large radish in the vegetables section of the fridge, and a packet of beancurd too.

At first, i thought of making soup with the radish and spareribs flavored with some dried oysters and red dates. But i know how much hubby loves beancurds and decided to make stew instead. It’s way faster and i only need to cook ONE dish, lol.

With my mother-in-law’s help, i put everything into the crockpot in no time. First, rub the pork ribs with salt and leave for about ten minutes or so. Remove the skin and seeds from the radish and cut into small pieces. Next, chop up some garlic and peel and onion or two. As for the beancurd, i did not cut them up.

Wash the salt from the pork ribs and blanch them in hot water to remove the “porky” smell and taste. Place all ingredients into the crockpot and add just enough water to cover the top of everything. Next add soya sauce and some oyster sauce to it. I added a dash of black pepper into the pot before i closed the lid.

I put the crockpot on high. It’ll be ready in a few hours. Since i cooked it before i left the house this afternoon, it’s ready by the time i reached home at around 4pm. I gave some to my kid when he came home from school and he loved it. Hubby had no complaints. I love it too.

I find that it tastes better if you add a dash of soya sauce to it when you eat it. Best taken with a bowl of hot rice. I am downloading Moonlight Resonance Episode 29 now and will be enjoying it with a hot bowl of this delicious Stewed Pork Spareribs With Radish And Beancurd. Moonlight Resonance is quite interesting, you know. You all following this TVB Drama Series?

Dinner at Black Canyon

We took the kids up to the Foodcourt for some fun before having dinner at Black Canyon. Gordon only played for a while and laid down on the play area. I took him back to the seat and let him play with his PSP whilst we waited for hubby and Malcolm. Didnt take long as he found a car lying around and picked that up. We waited for a while and as no one came to claim it, we let him have it.

I dont think Gordon can stomach anything. not that i want to since he’s still running a temperature. We ordered something from their Set Dinner Menu priced at Rm12.95++. I had Spaghetti with Chicken Hot Basil, whilst hubby had Green Curry Rice with Chicken. Both comes with Hot Tom Yum Soup and Ice-cream. To be honest with you, i cant really remember the names of the dishes we had. But they are more or less like that, lol.

Black Canyon is the only decent place for dinner as far as Jusco is concerned. The foodcourt was jam-packed earlier as the time we were there coincided with the Breaking of Fast. Almost every table we walked past had food on it with Muslims waiting for Masuk Waktu Imsak and Masa Berbuka Puasa. After dinner, we bought what we needed to buy and hurried back home as Gordon wasnt feeling too well.
