Pan Meen

There’s a coffeeshop called 101 at Shatin Park, Ipoh, that serves really good Pan Meen. If you know where Shatin Park Oldtown Kopitiam is, 101 is just at the end of the first row of shops AFTER the traffic lights on your right. That’s if you are driving along Jalan Pasir Puteh from town.

Whenever hubby has his breakfast there alone, he’s sure to tapau two packets back for the kids and i. My favorite choice of noodle is their Basil noodle. I love mine dry, with vegetable soup on the side. The kids love theirs with just minced pork, nothing else. Sometimes, they’ll request for some anchovies from my plate.

Once, i tried their Spicy variety. Dont quite fancy it though. Neither does hubby. Well, if you happen to be around Shatin Park in the morning, then drop by 101 and try the Pan Meen there. I hope you find it to your liking.

See My Cherry

This is my super cute kid showing off his cherry to the girl next to our table when we took the kids out to Kopitiam Junction this noon. He asked for cake and dragged me off to the cake shop. If i dont buy him one, he’ll tear the place down. I soon found out why as there’s a small cake with a car on top of it at the cake shop, knn. I reminded him i just bought him two new car-cars yesterday. Still reluctant to leave, he chose a blueberry chocolate cake with a cherry on top of a dollop of fresh cream. I bluffed him and said that’s ice-cream, lol! He should be happy as he got to eat cake with cherry and ice-cream all at once. Sigh…. the cost of bringing up kids is really high. *makes mental note to self to remember to load my printer with new ink and print more money*

A Dose Of CKT

One of the stalls at Tong Sui Kai serves really good Char Kuey Tiau. I dare not order as it’s insane to eat heaty food like this in hot weather. It rained a bit the past few days, turning the weather slightly bearable. It’s not even cool, okay. Since there’s no sun last Friday, i took the plunge and ordered a plate of CKT and ate it together with my "camping buddy". It’s SO good, damnit. Get sorethroat also no regrets, lol. Want some? Nah… say ahhhhhhh……..

Chee Cheong Fun At Wai Sik Kai

The Chee Cheong Fun at Wai Sik Kai is not too bad. It’s one of my favorite comfort food. What i ordered the other day looks like this. I like it with mushroom gravy and curry, with one or two foo pei. The stall owner even topped mine with some chicken too. Not bad, yum.

I’ve been so busy for the past one week that i almost forgot that In The Eye Of The Beholder has started. It’s not too late, lol. So, do watch In The Eye Of The Beholder streaming with me. Join me on Twitter for the latest episode updates and access. Enjoy.

Wantan Meen For Breakfast

Just sent my kid off for tuition and am having breakfast with Malcolm now. He wants Wantan Meen. Malcolm only eats his noodles with mushroom and some gravy. Mine has Wantan and Char Siu in it. Yummy! So, what did you have for breakfast today?
