It’s a glorious Sunday, also the second last day of my kids’ week-long school holiday. The daily grind resumes next Tuesday. Might as well enjoy these two days to the max. I woke up earlier than the kids this morning. Made them some egg sandwiches with the Cornell Sandwich Maker. Havent used it this year at all, lol.
MIL popped into the room as they were munching on their sandwiches. She gave me this Lotus Leaf Rice, and also two Char Siu Pao for the kids. My SIL brought them over for my MIL but she has no appetite for something so heavy these days. So, today’s my lucky day
Lotus Leaf Rice is something like a cross between Bak Zhang and Lor Mai Kai. Made from almost the same kind of ingredients, and also tastes similar. Just that, Lotus Leaf Rice is shaped like a puffy pillow. My Lotus Leaf Rice has chicken, char siu, dried shrimps, chinese sausage. I cant seem to tell what else is in there. I’m going to drink some Chinese Liu Pao Tea to help ease digestion. Tried Lotus Leaf Rice before? If you havent, most Dim Sum restaurants sell them.
