Greentea Tong Sui (Chinese Dessert)

I’ve been eating a lot of this Greentea Tong Sui of late. By now, i guess most of you already know my affinity for everything Greentea. According to the lady who made this Greentea Tong Sui recipe, it contains fresh milk and corn. The translucent pearls you see in the spoon have a texture like sago. Only larger versions of it, lol. Lends a bite to the otherwise watery tong sui. The corn blends in well too. If i’m not wrong, the greentea is most like greentea powder which you can buy from just about any baking supplies store.

So, there you go. Only four main ingredients to this Greentea Tong Sui Recipe; Greentea powder, fresh milk, corn and those big sago pearls. And of course, rock sugar for sweetness. By the way, i wrote a post on How To Make Greentea Ice-cream earlier. Do check it out if you havent read it. I’ll be making another batch of ice- cream soon. This time, with a different method. Check back for the post later on, ya.

Fernleaf Calci Yum

Oh, this is one of my kid’s favorite desert. It’s just yogurt. I used to share with them mine. But hubby says these comes in smaller cups and in a variety of flavors too. The quantity is more suitable for kids if they want to eat it all on their own.

How To Make Greentea Ice-cream

It’s a beautiful day and my mood isnt as screwed as it was a few days back. I was pretty down but decided to let things pass. Moreover, Malcolm wasnt feeling well and he’s so clingy till i cant really do much with him around. As usual, i left him with hubby yesterday since he doesnt want his Mama. To make him happy, hubby gave him the remainder of the ice-cream we bought from Cold Storage on our last trip there.

It’s all gone and hubby reminded me to go get more. He was surprised when i told him i’ll make some Greentea Ice-cream today after lunch. And so, after our meal, he drove me to Wah Seng, Ipoh’s largest baking supplies store to buy all the ingredients needed for my Greentea Ice-cream recipe. See, my mood must be really good till i want to make Greentea Ice-cream, lol. Something i’ve NOT done before!!!!

Eggs came from the kitchen, haha. Ingredients for Greentea Ice-cream cost came to Rm23.40 + Eggs at Rm1.08 = Rm24.48. Not that bad after all.

Ice-cream at Black Canyon Coffee

I gotta admit i do spoil my kids a little at times. They grow up so fast. If i dont pamper them now, soon, they’ll be off to college. The weather’s a bitch these days. The heat is stifling, and when it rains, there’s bound to be a thunderstorm. Today is another hot day. After picking up Gordon from school, hubby suggested we take him to Jusco for tea.

Gordon at Black Canyon Coffee

Gordon plonked himself in one of the chairs outside Black Canyon Coffee and smiled sheepishly at us. Oh, what the heck. Might as well eat there. Hubby ordered his favorite Thai Green Curry and two plain rice for the both of us. Since i’m not too hungry, i’ll share mine with Gordon if he doesnt mind the curry.

Thai Green Curry at Black Canyon Coffee

Hubby’s Thai Green Curry arrived fast as there were not that many people at that hour. He’s famished but had to wait till i finish camwhoring with the food, lol. The serving is enough for two. We didnt order drinks as we get plain water for free here. Why bother, huh.

Black Canyon Coffee Thai Green Curry

I even got him to scoop some Thai Green Curry up for me to snap. So bad of me, huh. Make him wait like that. The Thai Green Curry at Black Canyon Coffee contains chicken, some brinjals, green pepper, basil leaves and chillies. I’d love to learn how to make Thai Green Curry. Gotta look for a Thai Green Curry recipe pronto. How difficult can it be, right.

Thai Green Curry on plain white rice

What to do? That’s what he has to do as he married a blogger. Uh…. nope. I wasnt a blogger when he married me, lol. It’s after i had Gordon that i became one. Gordon took one bite of the rice with a teeny bit of Thai Green Curry in it and started hissing, wakakaka. He took gulps of water. I asked him if he still wanted any or not and he didnt refuse. I think he ate more than ten spoonfuls of my rice with Thai Green Curry.

Ice-cream with fruits

Here’s another closer look of the Black Canyon Coffee ice-cream with fruits i ordered for Gordon. What a great way to cool down during a hot evening. Isnt my kid a lucky one :)
