Baking Brownies On A weekend

I just had this urge to bake some brownies today. Hubby bought a box of Pilsbury Chocolate Walnut Brownie Mix and it’s sitting pretty inside the kitchen cabinet. I’ve not baked brownies for a long time. As it’s the weekend and i’m not going anywhere, the kids will be thrilled with the brownie.

Here, you can see my brand new Foodbuzz scraper (is that what you call it?). Thank you, Foodbuzz. There’s an apron too, but i’m not wearing it. Too precious, lol. All the contents of the box emptied into to Philips Cucina Mixer’s mixing bowl and i’m ready to go.

I used two eggs instead of one this time. According to the instructions on the back of the box, this will yield a more cake-like texture. I have to bake it for an extra ten minutes or so. The last time i baked this Pilsbury Brownie Mix, it got burnt slightly at the top. So, i covered the 8×8 Pyrex Bowl with aluminium foil.

The Chocolate Brownie was still somewhat undercooked when i took it out of the Philips Toaster Oven. As Malcolm couldnt wait to eat it, i cut some of the cooked part for him and placed it back into the toaster oven for a further ten minutes uncovered. Here’s my happy kid enjoying the brownie that his Cooking Mama made.

It’s easy to bake Brownies in a toaster oven. It can be done with slight adjustments as each toaster oven i different. You just have to learn how yours work and make the most out of it. It wont be as good as a conventional oven, but on a scale of 1 to 10, i’ll give it an 8. Fair enough? Your turn to give it a try.

Foodbuzz – Moo Minicards

I received my Foodbuzz Moo Minicards sometime back. Cant even remember when. I should have written this post the moment i received my Foodbuzz Moo Minicards. Well, it’s still not too late, i guess. This is one of the little things that makes being a Featured Publisher of Foodbuzz special and meaningful.

Foodbuzz - Moo minicards

Having been a blogger for such a long time, it never crossed my mind to print my very own name cards. Each time someone ask me for my blogs urls, i have to write them down on little pieces of papers which i’m 100% sure will get lost in their bag even before they reach home.

Foodbuzz - name card

See how beautiful my Foodbuzz Moo Minicards are. Each card has a different design on one side, and my name, and my blog’s name and url printed on the other. I’m so so so proud of handing my Moo Minicards out to friends and whoever ask for it. Thank you, Foodbuzz, for sending these beautiful Moo Minicards to me :)
