Malcolm just cant stop eating this Kameya’s Wasabi Mayonaise that i bought a few days ago. I told him it’s to be eaten with eggs, and he happily took three eggs from the fridge and handed them to me. What to do…. if my kid wants to eat the Kameya’s Wasabi Mayonaise, i’ll have to cook some eggs for him. It’s actually very nice if you are a fan of Japanese wasabi. It’s not as pungent as the normal Wasabi that we eat at Japanese restaurants, but it really does compliment the mayonaise very well.
If you havent tried this Kameya’s Wasabi Mayonaise before, you can go get it from the Japanese Food Promotion at the Concourse Level at Parkson Ipoh for Rm10.99 each. Quite costly as it’s only a small tube of about 250ml or so. I cant be exact as i threw away the packaging that came with it when i took it out. Mine’s already almost half gone as Malcolm keeps wanting a pea-sized glob each time he goes to the kitchen.

This Heinz Fire-Roasted Tomato And Garlic Pasta Sauce is actually not too bad. What captured my attention was the words “Fire-Roasted” and “Garlic”. There i was, standing at the aisle, imagining a subtle hint of roasted tomatoes and garlic wafting up to my nostril the moment i open the bottle back home, lol. And since i’ve not tried this, why not.

I was hoping it will go well with this weird-looking Tesco Tripoline Pasta i picked up. Have you tried pasta from Tesco before? They do have quite a wide selection of pasta. Tesco organic pasta is quite affordable too.

I seldom see Bunga Kantan or Torch Ginger Flower in this household. So, when i saw one on the chopping board just now, i couldnt resist the urge to take a pic of it. My MIL was preparing ingredients to cook Assam Ikan Kembong and she says by adding Bunga Kantan (Torch Ginger Flower), it’ll taste better.
The Bunga Kantan was already out of its pod when i took this pic. It’s a beautiful flower in a nice pink hue. Have you seen it before? I used to hate its smell near the Malay stalls whenever i follow my mom to the yet market when i was little. Gee…. I can almost smell the Torch Ginger Flower all over again in my head. BLUUEEKKKK!!

Just a few pics i took whilst preparing for tonight’s dinner. As you can see, these are very basic ingredients. really nothing fancy at all. And oh, very economical too.

Young Tapioca leaves

Chopped Garlic and Onions

Leftover rice

Two eggs in a bowl.
Any idea what’s for dinner tonight?
