Mini Hand-held Chopper

I bought this mini hand-held chopper a long time ago. It only costs Rm10, but it does the job well. After peeling all the shallots and garlic, dump all of it into the bottom container and screw the top part back onto it. Hold it firmly on a flat surface and press down on the top with your palm many times till everything inside is chopped as fine as you like, gaotim. Just in case you dont know, with this mini hand-held chopper, garlic butter rice happens to be a current addiction of mine…. can get fat wan or not? If you hate chopping onions and garlic, this is a must-have item in your kitchen. Cheap and functional. Eco-friendly and doesnt consume electricity too :)

First Choice Baking Paper

I’ve always wanted to bake some cookies for my kids. Each time after i’ve found a nice and simple cookie recipe, i’ll remember i dont have baking paper. How to bake, lol. As it’s my kid’s birthday this coming Friday, i want to bake him something to take to school for his teacher and classmates. So, this afternoon after sending him to school, i went to Cold Storage and bought a box of Muffin Mix.

And as i was checking out some baking trays, i found this roll of First Choice Baking Paper and quickly grabbed one, lol. There wasnt any Cookie Mix on the shelf. No problem. I have a Cookie Recipe book which i’ve never made anything from before. Will dig it out and choose one for my kids one day. No, i’ll let them choose instead. More fun that way. Anyone used this First Choice Baking Paper before?

Birambeau corkscrew

We received a few bottles of red wine from friends and relatives over Chinese New Year. Kept them inside the cabinet and forgot all about them. My kid was rummaging for his cookies when i saw those bottles of red wine. Too bad there’s no corkscrew in sight. I looked everywhere and it seems that we dont have a corkscrew in this household, lol. No corkscrew = no red wine.

Birambeau corkscrew

What to do, have to buy wine corkscrew or else, we can just stare at those bottles of red wine and get an imaginary high. And this is the Birambeau corkscrew which hubby bought from Parkson. I doubt if we’ll use it after we’ve finished up those few bottles of red wine. That’s why this Birambeau corkscrew isnt an expensive one to begin with though there were many more corkscrews with a higher price tag at the rack.

My sis has lots of red wine over at her place. She has those expensive wine corkscrews. I cant remember how much this Birambeau corkscrew costs, but i asked hubby just now and he says it’s less than ten bucks, lol. It did however did its job well and opened all the bottles of red wine that we have. Oh, if i want to drink red wine, the easiest and fastest way is to pop by her house. It’s definitely nearer to my house than going to the mall.
