How To Make Greentea Ice-cream

It’s a beautiful day and my mood isnt as screwed as it was a few days back. I was pretty down but decided to let things pass. Moreover, Malcolm wasnt feeling well and he’s so clingy till i cant really do much with him around. As usual, i left him with hubby yesterday since he doesnt want his Mama. To make him happy, hubby gave him the remainder of the ice-cream we bought from Cold Storage on our last trip there.

It’s all gone and hubby reminded me to go get more. He was surprised when i told him i’ll make some Greentea Ice-cream today after lunch. And so, after our meal, he drove me to Wah Seng, Ipoh’s largest baking supplies store to buy all the ingredients needed for my Greentea Ice-cream recipe. See, my mood must be really good till i want to make Greentea Ice-cream, lol. Something i’ve NOT done before!!!!

So, here’s what i bought. Caster Sugar, non-dairy whipping cream and greentea powder from the baking store. Fresh Milk from the grocery store as the baking store doesnt have any, weird. Eggs came from the kitchen, haha. Ingredients for Greentea Ice-cream cost came to Rm23.40 + Eggs at Rm1.08 = Rm24.48. Not that bad after all.

Samm makes Jell-O No Bake Real Cheesecake Dessert

Ya ya ya, Saturdays are meant for desserts. If you are stressed out, you must eat desserts. You’ll know why if you spell stressed backwards, ya. Here’s the Jell-O No Bake Real Cheesecake Dessert i bought the other day. So here goes:

DSC05293

Ingredients needed are 1 1/2 cups of full cream milk. You cannot use soy milk cos it doesnt contain fat and the dessert wont stand, k. Aiya, why bother with healthy alternatives when you make sinful stuffs. Once in a while, go indulge lah. Full cream, okay. Dont argue. And the next is 5 tbsp butter, unsalted of cos. You wont want your dessert to turn out salty, eh. And 2 tbsp of sugar for the base. I would recommend you do without it as i prefer the base plain. It’s your choice anyway.

Here are the contents of the box. White for the crust. Blue for the filling.

Melting the butter in the saucepan.

What’s this white stuff at the top? Cream?

DSC05301

I poured the contents of the white packet for the crust into my 8 x 8 inch Pyrex dish. Here you see i added sugar. Then pour the melted butter into it and mix it well.

This is just a macro shot of the crust mix cos i find it fascinating, lol.

Here’s the flattened crust base. Use the bottom of a glass, a spoon, anything..

Pour the Jell-O No Bake Real Cheesecake Dessert filling onto the prepared crust base and refrigerate for 1 hour.

And here’s the final result. Nice? Say nice. My kids and hubby loves it and i’ve bought two more boxes, lol. Best eaten with fresh fruits like strawberries and peaches. Or you may want to add some lemon peel into the filling to make it lemony? How about orange peel? Or add blueberries or fruit of your choice onto the crust before you pour the filling in. Gee…. i’m becoming creative, lol.
