Lunch At Indulgence, Ipoh

Lunch At Indulgence - Ipoh

Indulgence, situation along Tambun Road, has been around for a long time. I do go there once in a while. I’m not too fond of that place. I find it a tad too pretentious for my liking. I prefer to dine at places where people do not scrutinize you from head to toe the moment you enter.

Lunch At Indulgence - Ipoh

To begin with, Ipoh is a small place and we can easily bump into people we know wherever we go to. These pics were taken on the 2nd of October. That’s more than two weeks ago. Had lunch with Mel, a very good friend of mine. And it was a very enjoyable one too.

Lunch At Indulgence - Ipoh

Mel ordered Red Wine for me, and White Wine for himself. I love this pic so much that i sent him an MMS to remember the lunch we had that day.

Lunch At Indulgence - Ipoh

We shared this Salad. Mel wanted Caesar Salad but Indulgence only had “something” like Caesar Salad on their menu, lol. Who cares, as long as it’s Rabbit Food, and palatable. I whacked all the quails eggs as he’s so afraid of all the cholesterol and what-nots, lol.

Lunch At Indulgence - Ipoh

This is Mel’s Ravioli with Oysters. It’s all creamy and oh-so-fattening. I was wondering how come Mel’s so darned afraid of the quails eggs but have no qualms about stuffing himself with this???? I tried it and like it myself. If i’m not wrong, it’s called “Viola” on their menu.

Lunch At Indulgence - Ipoh

Mine’s called Oba. I asked the waitress what Oba is and she told me it’s a kind of Leaf. Neh…. the one right beneath the baby carrot. It’s dipped in batter and fried like tempura. I kinda like my Pasta though. It has Roasted Duck slices, Dried Chilli, Carrots and of cos, the Oba leaves, haha. And yummmm…. the combination of garlic and olive oil in it made it’s pricetag justifiable.

Just a close-up of my Pasta. MMMmmmMmMmM….mMmMMMmMMm….iLikey!!!! What about you? I forgot to take a picture of the Tiramisu we had. Only the strawberry remained when i remembered, lol. I think i’ll spend some of my afternoons there with a glass of wine and my laptop there when the kids have gone to school. Anyone wanna join me there?

Sukiyaki O Suki Desu

Sukiyaki O Suki Desu

I’m suddenly craving for a hot bowl of Sukiyaki. The night is cold and Sukiyaki seems like the right kind of food to warm me up. We had this bowl of Sukiyaki Noodles at Sushi King about two weeks ago. It’s been off their menu for a long time. Since it’s back, we decided to give it a try. It’s a disappointment. How come there’s no egg in it, hoh. The soup is also kinda bland. I’m paying Rm16.90 for this leh. Make it better larr.

Lunch At Koh Samui Restaurant

Today is a special day. It’s my friend, Patricia’s birthday. She happens to be the very first non-neighbor friend that i got to know. We’ve known each other since the age of 6. That’s more than 30 years of friendship. Pat is a special friend to me as i’ve got both her hubby’s and her signature on my marriage certificate.

Koh Samui Restaurant, Ipoh

To celebrate Pat’s birthday, a group of us, Irene, Jasmine, Switz Keng, Prem, Hubby & I, went for lunch at Koh Samui. It’s a Thai Restaurant located along Cowan Street, Ipoh. I dont know what the street name has been changed to. I’ll update this later, ya.

Pineapple Rice

The pic above is the Pineapple Fried Rice that first arrived at our table. Delicious with all the cashew nuts!!!

Thai Green Curry Chicken

Next to arrive is the Thai Green Curry Chicken. All thick and yummy. Not spicy too.

Tom Yum Soup

Tom Yum is a MUST-HAVE item at the table. We’re at a Thai Restaurant, lol. How can no Tom Yum, horrr. It has just the right amount of heat. Just wish i had a second bowl…..

Fried Kangkung with Dip

This is Fried Kangkung. What’s kangkung in English? This is great when eaten with the dip at the left of the pic.

Dip for the Fried Kangkung

A close up of how the dip looks like. It’s kinda like diluted sambal belacan, with lots of shallots and lime in it. MMMmMMmMM good good good….

Mango Salad

As our dear friend, Prem, is on diet, this Mango Salad is the only thing she’s willing to put into her mouth. Oh, she had some of the Fried Kangkung too.

Cakes

Ahhhh…. the cakes. Self-explanatory lah, haimai….

Cakes

More cakes. Prem had the strawberry, LOL!!!!

Pat's Birthday Cake
